Forest School

Today we worked with the elements, the crisp cold air, glorious sunshine plus the wind gave us perfect conditions for our parachutes.

The children played and rolled on the hills with such excitement that they forgot it was cold.

The hot chocolate was very welcomed by all.

Class The Magic Mile – Level 0

The children are getting faster, today recorded the fastest time for a mile since we started the Magic Mile.

Children who were struggling slightly before there has been significant improvement in their times.

What was really nice about today there were plenty of smiles and really good attitudes about the run, someone said ‘I’m used to running on a Monday now’ which was very positive for all of us.

Forest Schools – 1/12/17

It was crisp and cold as the first day of winter should be, but in the woods Autumn was still showing with all its bronze, orange and yellow colours.

The children made swings, carved twigs and completed an assault course.

The hot chocolate was very much needed in the present climate.

NPAT ‘Get Staff Active Project’ New Age Kurling

After work today NPAT staff descended upon Abington Vale for the Kurling Competition.

It was impressive the amount of staff that turned up from Ecton Brook, Headlands, Lings and Abington Vale.

The momentum is growing for the staff sports so much so that Ecton Brook managed to put 3 teams in this competition and emails are coming in for a variation of different sports.

Everyone enjoyed the Kurling, there was laughter, triumphs and achievements in all the games. Watch this space for the next event.
